No Facebook Until Oblivion Draft Done

Just wanted to let my family, friends, colleagues, and followers know before it hits the Drudge Report that I’ll be deactivating my Facebook. I’ll reactivate when I’ve sent the completed draft of Out of Oblivion to my editor. Until we meet again.

Dang. Too late. It’s already up.

While driving through Colorado, Utah, and Arizona recently I had a long heart-to-heart with myself.  And, I listened (text-to-speech on Kindle) to Blood & Soul while driving. After that, I decided to raise the price to $7.99.  I reflected on the challenges and my weaknesses when it comes to writing epic fantasy. I can write a good to a great story. That’s not the problem. Life has enough built-in commitments and distractions. Facebook is a huge distraction for me because I love it. I’m an entertainer but Facebook siphons off the fuel that needs to go to writing Out of Oblivion. So, I erased Facebook from my phone, Kindle and deleted it from my bookmarks. I feel freer already. But, I will be back.
