Creed of Kings Saga: 2014 & 2015

2015What a year! Blood & Soul spent 5 and half months on the bestsellers list. It made 1# in niche categories a couple of times but hung out between #30 and #40 mostly. I knew I had written a decent book but I had no idea it would do so well.  I had lots of help. Here’s the list of professionals  and friends that were crucial to Blood & Soul. Thanks again!

Good reviews are lifeblood for “unknown” authors.

Of all the reviews in 2014 here’s a 4 Star review on Goodreads by Rob Purdie that’s the most in-depth. Rob really nailed it. Here’s a sample:

“Bagby meshes these varied elements perfectly with violent action and blood passion. This is a task not easily accomplished by any but the notables of fantasy fiction. Bagby brings George R. Martin into the Eagle And Child pub with Lewis and Tolkien.”

Where does the Creed of Kings Saga go in 2015?

An ambitious year is in the wind shield. Writing this saga and holding down a full-time job challenges me greatly. If I didn’t love the chance to blow your mind, I wouldn’t write. I want to give you an unforgettable experience. I’m not a composer. I’m not a guitar virtuoso. I’m a writer. This is my symphony. This is my face-melting guitar solo riding on the thunder. 😉

Here are 3 MAJOR projects for 2015:

  1. I’m barely out of the pre-production phase of the next book. The working title of the next book is “Out of Oblivion.” It picks up about 5 years after “Blood & Soul.” It needs a lot of chiseling to reach “blow your mind” potential. I like the feel of it. I’ve got a good beginning, middle and clear destination/goal for the hero but the story map, the connective tissue is really rough.
  2. What’s really cool is I’ve done substantial work on the book after “Out of Oblivion.” It’s working title is “Defender.” It’s a redemption story of an assassin and it’s kind of an off-shoot of the Creed of Kings Saga with a character tie-in.
  3. I’ve also completed 95% of an action-packed short story (5K words) to give away to those signing up for my email list.

Friends and family and complete strangers will think you’re really cool if you recommend such an awesome read as Blood & Soul. Think of just one person that might be interested. Tell them to sign up for my email list here. They’ll get some free goodies that will introduce them to the world of the Creed of Kings saga.

THANK YOU and have a Happy, Happy, Happy New Year! (Apologies to Duck Dynasty!)
