Moving forward & Letting Go!
Here’s an update on books in the making, marketing, upcoming promo and letting go.
- I’m deep in the pre-production phase of two books:Out of Oblivion – book 2 in the Creed of Kings saga, and Defender – a story that inhabits the Creed of Kingsworld that I’m working to weave into the saga in a smooth natural way because it deserves inclusion there. The blueprints of both books near completion. It looks like my characters will need a good health plan. I have about 9 more books in me now. 4 or 5 more in the Creed of Kings saga, 1 Nicholas Sparks type book (It’s so sweet you’ll need an insulin shot), and 3 post-apocalyptic thrillers and 1 contemporary political thriller.
- Self-publishing a book is extremely challenging, but one of the reasons I chose to self-publish is because new authors that publish traditionally get very little help promoting books. So a traditional published author ends up working hard to promote anyway; all that effort and they only receive 12% to 15% of the sales. That’s fine if you’re Suzanne Collins and I’d take 12% of 100 kazillion books any day. My boss would get a post card.
- Because marketing is a never-ending story for a self-pubbed author, beginning Saturday Nov 1st through Nov 2nd the Blood & Soul e-book will go on sale for 99 cents! The following 5 days it will inch up in $1 increments until Friday Nov 8th at midnight it’s back to $4.99. That will be the last major push on my part for a while. Help me spread the news. I have everything you need to do so.
- Blood & Soul cannot become Stonehenge that overshadows me and my other works in utero. I can’t expect Blood & Soul to stay on the bestsellers list forever. I’m hoping to let go of the intense marketing so I can reach the inevitable – writing more books!

Thanks!
